CRAMMED DISCS
ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT THEIR LATEST RELEASES

Amansara
CHANCHA VIA CIRCUITO

Available now : CD / Digital

Argentine producer Pedro Canale aka Chancha Via Circuito returns with his long-awaited third album, Amansara.
Originally coming out of Buenos Aires' famed digital cumbia scene, Chancha has notoriously expanded beyond
those boundaries to forge unprecedented mergers between Brazilian rhythms, Paraguyan harp, Andean mysticism
and the solitude of Argentinian folklore - all processed through his own futuristic strain of electronic music.
Chancha's sound is without question truly unique and instantly recognizable, to the extent that he has become
a key reference point for an entire crop of artists which have begun to carry his genes.

Ex-Futur Album
VÉRONIQUE VINCENT, AKSAK MABOUL

Available now : CD / LP / Digital

Honeymoon Killers vocalist Véronique Vincent and Crammed Discs founder Marc Hollander finally
release their trailblazing avant-pop album, recorded and unfinished in 1980-83].

What was originally intended to become the third album by Aksak Maboul (the seminal band formed by Hollander
with Congotronics producer Vincent Kenis) had gradually evolved into a strange artefact, closely mingling Véronique's
dreamy vocals and deceptively bubbly lyrics with Marc's musical ramblings. Electronic pop music with genre-wrecking leanings.
But the project (too pop to be experimental? too quirky for early '80s pop?) was dropped at some point, and life went on.

When they were 'rediscovered' three decades later, it seemed obvious that the songs had aged delightfully well.
With its  stylistic non-sequiturs, the album seemed to announce some of the hybrid trends which emerged later on
(think pop meets proto-techno, with African, Middle-Eastern, dub, jazz & cinematic French flavours...), and probably
makes a lot more sense in 2014 than it would have back then.  So here's that Ex-Future Album, mixed and retrieved
from demos and cassette tapes, and brought to you in its original glorious unfinished state, with a slight delay of 30 years.

The LP and CD versions come with a download code for the full album + 3 extra exclusive bonus tracks.
Strictly limited deluxe LP edition on 180gr vinyl, incl. gatefold & inner sleeves and lyric sheet.

It Is Time for You to Return
JOZEF VAN WISSEM

Pre-order now, out on Nov. 10 : CD / LP (with download code) / Digital

"Jozef Van Wissem is both an avant-garde composer and a baroque lutenist, and thus no stranger to dichotomy",

wrote the New York Times. He has released over ten albums since the early 2000s, and makes music which is
"pleasantly hypnotic, in a way that’s just as challenging as more confrontational music. Overtly melodic, as capable
of creating a gentle earworm as inducing a starry-eyed trance. Van Wissem has been pushing the lute’s agenda
out of the academy and into more accessible circles" (Pitchfork).

The entrancing “It Is Time For You To Return” is Jozef Van Wissem’s brand-new album (his first for Crammed Discs’
revived Made To Measure series), and functions as a perfect introduction to his music which, this time around,
is enhanced by a new feature, as Jozef wrote and performed hypnotic vocals for some of the nine pieces.

The album also benefits from the presence of young Chilean filmmaker Domingo Garcia-Huidobro, who contributed
electronic programming on a couple of tracks. And, last but not least, Jim Jarmusch and Lebanese singer Yasmine Hamdan
(who also appeared in the director’s latest film) appear on one song.
