OY “A New Planet Is Born”
A New Planet Is Born is the first excerpt from Space Diaspora, the forthcoming new album by OY (out in September 2016). This highly original and creative duet based in Berlin consists of Ghanaian-Swiss vocalist & musician Joy Frempong and producer/musician Lleluja-Ha. For this new album, OY resorted to space travel: they were accidentally projected into the future, on a planet named Space Diaspora, inhabited and terraformed by former earthlings. Over there, OY discovered strange customs and lifestyles, interesting political processes, artistic practices and unheard-of sounds, which inspired them.
The band is currently on tour, including a gig in London at the Serious Space Shoreditch / 2 Cities Festival together with their Swiss fellows: Nik Bärtsch & Sha.
The video was premiered by no less than Nowness, Tsugi and Tages Anzeiger.

Amatorski “Hear Me”
Amatorski’s mesmerizing new single, just released on 7” and digital along with a remix by Julia Holter, heralds a new phase in the band's journey. Vocalist & composer Inne Eysermans found this inspiration for this dreamy, soulful song in… a strange, quasi-Lynchian dream she made. She's recently been drawing ideas from the way music is being used in films, and has been listening to a lot of electronic music (to people such as Laurel Halo, Tim Hecker), and to old-school ambient masters like Gavin Bryars, Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois.

Maïa Vidal “Jell-O”
Jell-O is the latest single from Maïa Vidal’s acclaimed You’re The Waves album, which was re-arranged and released just ahead of her appearances at SXSW. Born in California of French and Japanese/German parents, she can be an unpredictable whirlwind of musical styles and different cultures, but at 28-years-old and with 3 albums already under belt, she’s proved to be a prolific force to be reckoned with. She defines her sound as “Eclecto-Pop” (a catch-all genre that she made up); an intoxicating mess of influences that include folk, electro, world music, and jazz, but that all coalesce into a shimmery love-drunk pop.
The music video was premiered by SPIN.
