Description
Tuxedomoon - Desire / No Tears
Voluntary exiles in Europe since the early ‘80s, the American band's ability to crystallize a certain dark and romantic zeitgeist has quickly turned them into one of the most influential bands around. Tuxedomoon were futuristic and lyrical, electronic and acoustic, and used drum machines, saxophones, wailing violins and haunted vocals. “Desire” is one of their most inspired albums. This re-issue also contains their earlier, cult electro-punk hit “No Tears”.
Reviews
“Tuxedomoon’s contradictory make-up — an American fascination with European sentiment, strengthened by a penetration to the very quick of melancholy, the clash between sounds inside the group, organic of electricity, explodes the purity of they playing” (NME, UK, ‘82)“Tuxedomoon conjure up perfect film noir soundscapes” (Melody Maker, UK, ‘85)
