Description
Phosphorus - Pillar Of Salt
A Rome-based band which consisted of three English expats (vocalists Debbie Harris & Emma Stow, and producer Keir Fraser, ex-9Lazy9), plus one Italian (producer/DJ Marco Scocchera). Great songwriting... evocative, lush & dreamy production... and Emma & Debbie’s inspired vocal interpretations. Melody and emotion come first, and Phosphorus’ main concern is the translation of states of minds into soundscapes. Whenever they borrow from dub, hip hop, jazz or soundtrack music, they use their peculiar, impressionistic production techniques in order to harmoniously fuse and bend these elements into a classic song framework. A beautiful album full of dreamy grooves and melodies.
