CRAMMED DISCS AUTUMN LEAVES

LE TON MITÉ
Mystery Trail to Space Needle

7" EP / Digital
Out now

This Fall, Crammed Discs is pleased to present the first 7” EP in the history of the mythic Made to Measure composer’s series: “Mystery Trail to Space Needle”. A microcosm of adventure: five soundtracks of a voyage to the past, in the present. For those who are familiar with the quirky sounds and mini compositions of LE TON MITÉ, you may be shocked by sounds that are resolutely pop, but within, creeping to the forefront, you will hear an evolution of what you know and love. For those who know nothing about LE TON MITÉ, get ready for a quick ride, jet streaming over the United States.

The cover is actually in black & white so Le Ton Mité is holding a colouring contest, more info on our shop.

12" vinyl (comes with download code)
Out 18 November

Fronted by vocalist Samy Birnbach (aka DJ Morpheus, freestyle DJ extraordinaire and compiler of the Freezone series), Minimal Compact were one of the most inspirational bands of the '80s. They blended funky rock rhythms and incisive guitars with flavours from their native Middle East. The band were active from 1981 to 1988, and released 6 studio albums and a live album. They garnered a large and fanatic following all across Europe and the USA, where some of their tracks (including Statik Dancin') remain underground club favourites to this day.

TUXEDOMOON
Half-Mute

Remastered version on 180 gr. vinyl
12" vinyl (comes with download code)
Out 18 November

The very first Tuxedomoon full-length album came out in 1980 on The Residents' label Ralph Records. It remains a classic to this day, with its drum machines, minimalistic instrumentation (mostly voice, organ, sax and bass) and strong atmospheres. Alongside "Desire", "Half Mute" was largely responsible for establishing the band's worldwide cult status. It contains memorable songs such as "59 to 1”, “Seeding the Clouds”, “What Use”, and inimitable instrumental tracks "Tritone", "Nazca", "Volo Vivace" and more. In 2016, Tuxedomoon were invited to recreate a live version of Half-Mute. After a first leg in May/June, they're back in Europe for a dozen Half-Mute Live dates starting on Nov. 20.
